Built-in 1909, Colvin House reflects the architectural styles of its time. The house was built in the prairies style, by architect George Maher. One of Maher’s signature styles is his Rhythm-Motif Theory, which utilizes geometric forms and local flora to create a unique architectural element. In the case of Colvin House, triangles and tulips were the motifs.
